Businesses who have worked closely with the University of Wolverhampton and benefitted from working with the forward thinking institution will be exhibiting at the Hereford and Worcester Business Expo in March.  A wide range of the business facing team will also be on-hand to offer further information on opportunities to work in collaboration with the University.

The expo on 14 March, covering a range of sectors, will be held at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, Worcestershire and will see the University of Wolverhampton occupy the Innovation Zone which they are sponsoring.  The Business Solutions Centre will be located at the entrance, signposting visitors to the most appropriate team within the zone.

Business Development Officer, Rebecca MacDonald said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for businesses to find out how collaborating with a University can help them achieve sustainable growth and gives visitors the chance to speak to companies who have benefitted through working with the University.”

Between 9:30am and 3:00pm, visitors will have the opportunity to speak to knowledge transfer and employment experts who can advise on a range of opportunities available to businesses from graduate placements through to part funded Knowledge Transfer programmes.  Such programmes involve graduates working for a business transferring in knowledge and helping to grow in-house skills and expertise.

Furthermore, in-line with the University’s dedication to innovation, there is a variety of exciting part-funded technology led projects that businesses can be involved in, offering businesses the opportunity to find out about higher-level technology in a supportive environment.

Visitors can also hear from several high-profile industry speakers throughout the day.  As experts in their respective fields, they will provide a valuable insight into industry.  There is also a chance for visitors to enter a competition prize draw to win their very own piece of technology.

The University continues to build on its long and successful history of supporting businesses locally, regionally and internationally by providing innovative solutions to current issues facing businesses in the present economic climate.

As the lead partner in the Business Solutions Centre, a partnership between local authorities, chambers of commerce and further education colleges, the University strives to improve access to business advice and services, and make a positive economic impact on the region.

The Centre’s impressive industry relevant experience and expertise ensures that it can help businesses to improve their performance and gain increased competitive advantage.
