After years of limited training or support available to engineering and manufacturing businesses, there is now a confusing array of options on offer.

Come along to this free breakfast briefing to find out more about practical and affordable routes to upskilling and investing in your workforce. With new opportunities and funding available to plug existing gaps, this event could help you to solve your skills and knowledge challenges.

Martin Dudley, from family owned and managed Thomas Dudley Ltd, will speak about how ongoing training and development has been placed at the heart of his business ensuring competitiveness and the ability to move quickly.

Colin Parker from the Skills Factory will provide an overview of fully funded bite-size courses on offer to Black Country employers through the European Social Fund, ranging from Laser cutting to AutoCAD, through to manufacturing quality control.

Ian Fitzpatrick will talk about new opportunities available to business from the Elite Centre for Manufacturing Skills, a new employer-led training facility for the Black Country, designed to enhance productivity in the region’s high value manufacturing sector, offering apprenticeships and bite-sized training.

There will be the opportunity to ask questions and one-to-ones will be available with the speakers after the main event.
