A popular live budget event, hosted by the Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre, returns for 2014.

Following the success of last year’s event, local companies will be invited to watch the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s statement live in the advanced Innovation 1st Visualisation Centre.

On Wednesday 19 March, the Chancellor will deliver the most important economic and financial statement of the year. The Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre will be offering companies the opportunity to watch his address, followed by a live panel discussion to examine how the measures could impact upon local businesses.

The assembled panel will include economist Paul Forrest from the West Midlands Economic Forum; along with Tony Elliot, a tax specialist at Dyke Yaxley Accountants. Professor Mike Haynes and Dr Stuart Farquhar from the University of Wolverhampton Business School will also be on the panel.

Gary Dimmock, manager of the Wolverhampton Business Solutions Centre said: “This event has proved very popular with local companies. The panel discussion provides an excellent forum for businesses to tap into expert analysis, ask questions and share their thoughts on how the budget will affect SMEs across the West Midlands.”

There is no cost to attend this event, but businesses are asked to register in advance at: www.wolverhamptonbsc.com/budget, tel: 01902 321272 or email: [email protected]. The event will be held from 12pm to 3pm. A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
